I watched all four Suboxone/Subtex videos and found them to be excellent and informative. I spoke with Jody yesterday, Tuesday 7/19, also and am very encouraged; detox has come a long way since 2000.
First a little background: I am not an addict but use Fentanyl for long term Pain control and Opana for breakthrough Pain control. I attend the Jupiter Pain Clinic and have for the last 9 years straight.
Because I am not getting adequate Pain control, we decided to see where the real Pain reference point is and find out what life is like without the opioids. The clinic recommended that I seek the help of Dr. Agresti. I have had 4 lumbar surgeries and need a fifth for the new extruded disc at L4/L5 that occurred 7/2009.
I am a very good patient and in very good standing with the Pain clinic. I think that is why they have kept me as a patient for in-total over 10 years.
My concern is the initial detox duration since the Fentanyl patches are relatively long term. It is designed to build a “depot” in the body which is, as I understand, stays in the body for longer than the instant release Opana or other breakthrough med’s.
I intend to call Jody again but mainly wanted to say how much these videos helped me. Personally, I cannot get enough knowledge and the videos will help me communicate with the staff more effectively.
Regards, FF
